This week I have been creating a very special gift for my niece. She has been begging me for a pixie for a while now and I finally gave in.
My niece absolutely loves pink so it was only natural to go with the pink theme. She also loves the name Pinky o.O ...nuff said!
I handmade the material for her bodice and cute boots. It's the first time I had attempted to make my own material but had some help in the form of a tutorial from The Fairies Nest. It involved fabric collaging and free machine embroidery. I was pleased with how it came out although the pictures really don't show just how sparkly it actually is!
I thought seeing as we had a pink pixie, I would make a matching pixie door for her, one that will stick to my nieces skirting board in her bedroom.
Hopefully my little pixie princess niece will love them :)
