Mad Hatter version 2 is finally finished

After a week of working on him, the second, much larger version of the Mad Hatter is finally finished. He is a self standing doll which has not been easy to achieve.
He'll be heading off to his new home tomorrow. :)

Madness hits Pixie Towers again!

This week I have been busy creating a new commssion which is a new Mad Hatter doll.
The lady who has requested the doll loved the other MH doll I created but decided she wanted a bigger version.

He is currently just a head although the rest of his body is done, he is awaiting clothes before happily joining his head lol.

Finally The Mad Hatter is complete!!

I have finally managed to complete my latest doll and couldn't be happier with him :)
Progress was a bit slow due to other commitments but he was worth the wait :)
He's available in my shop now over > there somewhere!

Ello lovelies!

Thought i'd give you a quick update on how Mad Hatter is getting on.
I'm back on shift at the day job so things are a bit slow for a couple more days but doing bits as and when I can.
:)
We have a jacket and tie. The hat still needs finishing and then attaching to the head. Legs are on and awaiting trousers.

Mad Hatters R Us

Urgh...hats are so difficult to make! 

I've almost managed to finish the hat though thank goodness! 

The head is pretty much complete and ready to go on to the body which as yet I have not decided whether it will be male or female...decisions decisions! 

I started out with the idea of a female bad hatter but now the head is done, I'm thinking it looks more like a he! 

Oh the problems of a doll maker lol :)

I have drawn out the design for my next doll and all bits are made ready for construction.
I am doing a Mad Hatter style girly, a doll that I have wanted to do for some time now but got distracted by zombies and such!
My aim is to create many of the Alice in Wonderland characters. The white rabbit is one I shall be giving a go to soon also me thinks. She'll probably turn out being a bit of a Playboy bunny though lol.

So my mum is on my case now to start writing a book. Bit early for all that I think but certainly something to think about in the future maybe.
I'm not convinced that I offer anything different or better than anyone else who has already written cloth doll books, but mum is my biggest fan and I suppose she can see no wrong lol.
I think I have a long way to go before I can actually look at a doll and be 100% happy with it. There's always something I do that makes me think that maybe I could have done better! I'm alway critical of my own work though.

Alice is complete :)

Managed to finish Alice today and am happy with how she turned out. Even managed to get some outdoor pics of her!! Amazing considering the usual British weather.

Here's Alice, she's almost finished. Just a couple of bits left and the base to construct with the fake grass :) have had to call it a day today due to burning myself with my glue gun....doh!

Into wonderland :)

Started my newest doll which is going to be a standing Alice in wonderland doll. Wire frame, body and face is completed, just need to put her together. Unfortunately I'm now going to work for 4 days so anymore work on her will be limited until Friday :( boo!
