August 2015 Update

Hello!

Seeing as things have been so manic over the past few months, I have decided a monthly update is far more realistic for me to do!

Soooo... here is what has been going on and created over here at Pixie-Crafts since August.

Firstly, I have been racking my brains over the past few months with regards to labeling my dolls with my business name. I finally settled on these gorgeous buttons which have been printed with my website address. They are wooden and fit the dolls perfectly.
They come from a shop on Etsy called GirlsFever >>linky link here >>> Girls Fever

There was another creation made for Emma who writes children's books. This is her latest character, Truman Troll and his friend, Barry Bat. I shall share the link to her new book as soon as it has been released. In the meantime, you can find her Edwin Elf and Norma Gnome books on Amazon.

Peggy Polar bear was another make this month and has made her way to her new home in America.

There has been an awful lot of this! I have been surrounded by heads, legs and arms for weeks now!
You lot certainly keep my fingers busy!

These cute Bumble Bees were also created. I will be listing them in the pixie shop very soon!

Isla and Niamh were twins who were created for a very special customer. Super cute!

We've had another Horrid Design Fairy appear in the form of Prim. I just love creating the Horrid Design fairies and cannot wait to get started on the next design!

A completely new product also appeared. This is my Bina Bear Box frame picture which has now gone off to Switzerland. I absolutely loved creating this and have already started on another which I hope to release soon!

Halloween has arrived early and Frankenlaly was created. He is the first of a few oher Halloween characters I am hoping to get made very soon. I was so pleased with how he turned out. Frankenlaly is available in the pixie shop now.

Henrietta Horse has been made and is off to Canada this week. Lucky horse!

Aaand finally! A custom monster who is called Gooey. He has been created for a little girl who wanted her imaginary friend bringing to life. <3
He's soooo fluffy!

So that's it for now! I have a large list of orders I am currently working through so I will have plenty more to share with you all very soon.

Pixie Crafts update bloggy blog thingy :D

Hello all!

Popping past to share what has been occurring over at pixie crafts for the past couple of weeks!

The competition closed with 2 lucky winners winning a mini Laly of their choice.
The first winner selected a Fibi Fox as a gift for her sister but then decided she also wanted a Dirk for herself, so both of them have now been made and are heading to Australia...lucky things!
Not before helping me celebrate my birthday though! :D

Luca (formerly known as Lupo) arrived in his new home and has become firm friends with another Pixie Crafts bunny creation :) <3

There has been a mahhooosive custom make also with a large Bina bear being made in the colours of Monster High for a special little girl's birthday. I hope she likes her! She even has her own little blanket to keep her warm <3

A new order came in for a Kira kangaroo and baby roo. I just love making the Kiras :)

I then had a request from a lovely customer asking whether I could make her an owl.... challenge accepted!! The owls are now available at the pixie shop and can be made in any colours.

Sir Frederick got up to mischief and made some new friends. Luckily he managed to restrain from joining them in the tank!

I also finally managed to get another Horrid Design fairy complete! This is Charlotte the secrets fairy. She just needed her wings (which she now has) and is heading off to live with Emma and the other fairies :)

I was surprised by my husband and taken to see Take That in concert on my birthday ! (It was totally amazing!) We had a stowaway who managed to sneak into my bag and was convinced she was going to try to locate Gary Barlow (this didn't happen unfortunately) I think Rhubarb enjoyed herself also!

And finally... I have managed to create 2 newbies, both of which sold in record time although they are still available as made to order items.

Henry Horse and Ulrika Unicorn. I'd been wanting to try a horse for some time and was so happy with Henry I thought a unicorn had to be next!
Henry has gone off to live in California and Ulrika has been snapped up as a Xmas pressie by a lovely lady.

Work has now been started on my next creation which may or may not be a hedgehog (hee hee)

I leave you with some feedback I received from a lady in Canada who had a custom doll from me... Little Edward and his pup Rupert. The message I received literally brought me to tears.
I am so lucky to have such wonderful customers <3

Sending you all lots and lots of pixie hugs

Weekly round up of pixiness!

Hello!

Lots of happy customers this week and several customer pictures have been sent in. I love to see the Lalys in their new homes.
Here is a selection of this weeks customer pics :)

I have had a bad back this week so have been resting up a fair bit whilst doing orders.
I have finally finished my second Horrid Designs Fairy.
This is Louby Lou. I just love her hair!!!

There are more Horrid Design Fairies on the way soon! Don't forget to go check out Emma's wonderful Facebook Page and see all her creations.

There is a new dragon in the group. Mini Dirk's sister, Dora has come to stay!

She is made from the most gorgeous Aran Wool which blends into different colours as well as having a gold sparkle. Sooo pretty :)

There has been another Bina Bear who has gone off to her new home and 2 more Binas being worked on at the moment!

And finally.... lots of biscuits!!  hehe.

I have started making a stock of various biscuits / cookies. (custard creams, jammy dodgers and oreos) which are being made into key rings / bag charms, brooches or just as they are.
They are listed in the pixie shop now.

This coming week will see more Binas, a special elf and possibly another Horrid design fairy...
Perhaps a lamb and something beautiful will be appearing with this wool...

I just haven't decided what it will be yet!!

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and Bank Holiday Monday!

Pixie-Crafts update bloggy blog

Hello all!

Its been a busy week at Pixie Towers this week with hospital appointments and meetings (the crochet came with me!) as well as several creations in various states of being made.

We bid farewell to Blueberry BonBon, Cherry Bunny and Panda who have all gone off to their new homes.
A fourth Ginny Giraffe was created and is currently en route to Long Beach in California... I packed her sunscreen, don't worry!

I am currently working on another fairy which was designed by Emma at Horrid Designs.

This is Louby Lou. She is proving very fun to make indeed...I cannot wait to get to the mass of red hair!

The Lalys have had an eventful week this week with sunbathing and trips out. I seriously need to consider giving them chores as they appear to be having far too much fun!!

Enjoy your weekend lovely pixie followers.
It's my 7th wedding anniversary this weekend.... apparently the traditional gift for 7 years is wool!! RESULT!! haha :D

Fairies, YumYums and sunshine..oh my!

Hello all!

The sun has been shining over here at Pixie Towers and the daffodils are out and waving their happy heads about in the wind. I love this time of year :)

I finished a very special doll this week for the lovely Emma at Horrid Design (www.facebook.com/mashorriddesignpage) who creates the most beautiful illustrations of all things magical. She asked for a commission doll of one of her creations and chose Hermione Fairy to be the lucky girly.
I have enjoyed creating her so much and it has boosted my confidence with the crochet as it's the first one I have done where I have had too really think how to do bits myself.
I am so happy with how she (and her ladybug) turned out and she has now flittered off to her new home with Emma :)

Pop on over to the Horrid Design page and say ello! They are absolutely fabulous characters :) <3

Today the YumYums have also started to appear at Pixie Crafts.
The YumYums are distant cousins of the Lalys. They usually live in the land of Sweeties but the weather has turned bad there and has forced them to start the long journey to Pixie Towers to warmer climates.
The YumYums are much shorter than their Laly relatives but are just as cheeky!
Blueberry BonBon has arrived today but she has informed me that her sister, Rhubarb Custard, is not far behind.
The Lalys are all so excited about seeing their cousins... I have a feeling things may start to get crowded very soon!!

The YumYums will start appearing in the Pixie Shop in a few days, so if you're wanting to adopt one of these mischevious imps, keep your eyes peeled ;)

This is Blueberry BonBon

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend <3

There should be a brand new Laly appearing next week!
