April begins!

Hello all,

It's a new month yet again and Spring has officially sprung...apparently!

I have had a busy few days creating various bits n bobs along with the daily social media things.

Easter was pleasant and the Laly's enjoyed themselves although Dirk Dragon did have eyes bigger than his belly with the Easter eggs!

I started working on a custom doll for a lady who runs a company called Horrid Designs. She creates the most wonderful characters and I am so honoured that she has asked me to bring one of them to life. I will post pics when I have completed her.

I have also been working on a commission for a lady in Italy who requested a rabbit in the style of Bina Bear. She has been completed and is now on her way to Rome....lucky thing!
Although Nina Bunny wasn't here for long, she was very popular with the other Lalys and they all gathered to bid her a fond farewell (Dirk even found an Italian flag to wave her off with!)

I have also been playing about with a fox design and was finally happy enough with it to launch it as a new product in my shop.

Not the usual thing I do but quirky and whimsical all the same... a bit like me! :)

 This week I am starting on a new range of dolls, the Yum Yums...distant cousins of the Lalys.

Blueberry BonBon will be arriving first ;)

Happy Easter !!

Hello all,

Easter is almost here and I am sure many of you have wonderful things planned for the bank holiday weekend.

I have completed another bunny today, Rita Rabbit, who is now available over at the Pixie Crafts shop.

I just love doing the cross stitched bellies and have amassed a rather large collection of patterns which I am hoping to get good use of!

This week saw the giveaway being announced and 5 lucky people now have little pixie bits winging their way to new homes.

We also saw rather a lot of wind this week!
Mini Dirk Dragon decided it was a good idea to try kite flying in the wind but got more than he bargained for when he was very nearly blown away!
Luckily for him, Big Dirk, Loni and Panda were all close by and able to grab him before he flew away! Silly Mini Dirk! :D

Wishing you all a wonderful Easter break. I hope you all have treasured family time and eat lots of chocolate. I'm sure you will all also remember the meaning of Easter and how important it is.

Rosie and Mini Dirk arrive at Pixie Hq

Hello all!

I finally managed to get out  and get some more sparkly pink wool which has allowed me to get my latest bunny finished.
This is Rosie Rabbit. She is cross stitched also (still takes me FOREVER to do )
The Lalys were all very excited to meet Rosie, esspecially Fly Toadstool who made her a very special strawberry cupcake to welcome her to the gang. I think he may have a soft spot for her <3

 

After all the excitement of a new Laly, we were then again surprised with a visit from Dirk Dragon's nephew, Mini Dirk! 

He has come for a visit but is hoping to find his new forever home soon. 

Both Lalys are now available at the pixie shop which can be found here <<

I have also started my range of watercolour paintings of the gang, the first of which is complete.

I have decided that I shall be creating a new range of passports that will encorporate the prints and will go with each Laly free of charge. I will also be offering the prints on their own if people wish to purchase them. 

 

Right, i'm off to create some more minis! :)

Mushrooms, bunnies and Lightsabers!

Strange title indeed!
Needless to say, these are the latest additions to Pixie Towers! ....I'll explain light sabers shortly hehe.

Firstly we have a new Toadstool man who has joined us.... Fly Shroomy... he's a fun kinda guy (geddit?!)

 And then we have Cherry Bunny, my second lil bag charm doll. She is just sooooo cute! I am so happy with how she turned out and can't wait to get started on some more! The cross stitch was difficult due to her size but I think it worked really well :)
 

 Ok.... so lightsabers! Whilst browsing Amazon a few weeks ago I discovered a light up crochet hook!!! I know right!!!  Well, long story short, my finger slipped and I accidentally purchased it.
I had totally forgot about it until it turned up this morning and wow did I squeak!
Is it wrong that I have wandered around the house doing a zzhhuuu zzzhhhuuuu noise (like a lightsaber) today in my excitement?! I think not!
Only the sneakyness of crocheting in bed will show its true potential, but I have high hopes for it becoming my favourite hook  :D

Last weeks pixie update :)

Hi everyone!

What a week it's been at pixie hq!
We've waved goodbye to Lupo who is heading off to a new home.

We've welcomed new bunny Daisy...

And then promptly said goodbye again as she found a new home within 6 minutes of being put up for rehoming!! 

A new prototype, mini Bina Bear has been created and interest suggests there will be more of these coming! 

So here we are on Monday, half way through a new doll already and off shopping for new wool for giraffes!.... Phew!!!

Rita Rabbit

Hello all!

I have been rather busy over the past couple of days, working my lil fingers around a new girly, Rita Rabbit. Rita is a Lalylala mod which can be found for free on Ravelry.com, although you must own one of the original Lalylala patterns to be able to create her.
She has been made for a special lil girl who could do with something lovely to hug.
She took a bit longer than usual due to the rather intricate cross stitch. Some of you may look at it and think "that's not intricate!" but when you've never ever done any form of cross stitch, trust me, it's not easy!
I love the idea of the cross stitch on the crochet so much, I have been trawling through Pinterest for freebie cross stitch patterns so I can create more like Rita :)

Lettuce Thistlethorn

Hi everyone :)

Busy day today. I have completed a giraffe, which I haven't made in a while! She turned out well I think, I was relieved as she was a requested order.

My second make of the day is another bunny, Lettuce Thistlethorn :)
She's not as Xmassy as yesterday's make but she is wrapped up for winter.

Next I shall be turning my hand to some little elves :)

Cranberry Snowtrifle

Well to say that I was shocked today is an understatement! 

I finished a lil Xmas rabbit today, Cranberry Snowtrifle ☺️

She's super cute and fluffy! 

Listed her on Etsy..... And she sold.....in 90 seconds!!! 😳

I'm gobsmacked! Hehe. 

Needless to say I shall be making more Chimbo bunnies!!
