Pixie-Crafts round up from the last couple of weeks!!

Oops!! Didn't realize how long exactly it had been since I blogged!!

Lots has been happening with several new creations along with several departures of some of the longest serving characters!

I have been keeping the Lalys busy with various chores, one of which was cleaning the pixie wagon...didn't think it through too well however!  >.<

I was asked by a lovely lady to create an elf for her (Edwin the Elf). She writes books about the adventures of Edwin the elf and wanted a 3d version of him to help her further with her stories!
I was unsure at first as to how I was going to do this, but I have to say I am so happy with how he has turned out! He's a proper cheeky chappy!

We then said an emotional farewell to Dora Dragon...Mini Dirk was inconsolable with grief but was happy she had found a new forever home. 

A newbie then appeared in the form of Lupo Lamb! He's a right cutie and is one of the larger dolls measuring about 18 inches tall! 

He is available over at the pixie shop :) 

A very sad day on the 17th as we bid a very emotional farewell to Fibi Fox and Fly Toadstool as they both headed off to a new home.... They did stay together however and have stayed in touch since leaving and have sent pics of their new furbaby friend! 

Another new appearance from a completely new doll, Mici Mermaid. She is available still in the pixie shop! 

I absolutely loved making her and was so happy with the Riot Knits yarn I used. She turned out more stunning than I could ever imagine! 

A new Panda also appeared. She was sent to a special someone as a gift from myself, and it appears that she has been spoilt rotten already and been taken of various trips and has also made a furbaby friend! 

I then received the most gorgeous bunch of flowers from this lovely lady as a thank you. Mini Dirk helped me say thank you! 

Talking of Mini Dirk!...he was up to his usual tricks but had somehow managed to drag Rhubarb Custard into his games in the form of swinging from the washing line!! 

This however was unfortunately Dirks last piece of mischief at Pixie Towers as he has been re homed and now has a new bunch of friends to create havoc with! 

A very bitter sweet day indeed :'( , but we have heard from him and he is having lots of fun. 

 

Mini Bina Biscuit bear then arrived and caused a bit of a stir. She sold in a record time of 3 minutes from being posted online! She is still available however as a made to order piece :)

Almost finished!!! phew! 

Lastly, we welcomed Mini Dirk Von Dirkinberg from Minidirkinstein. One of Mini Dirk's distant cousins from a magical far off land ;) 

Made from gorgeous Ice Yarns wool. He is available in the pixie shop now. 

That, my friends, is the latest round up! Apologies for leaving it so long! I will promise to update more often! :D

A brand new sparkly week....with added sunshine!! :D

Hello all and happy Monday to you all.

How nice to wake up to glorious sunshine?! Maybe Spring is finally on the way :)

The Lalys have been taking full advantage of the sunshine and have been out in the garden playing hide and seek.... although i'm concerned that they don't quite get the concept of hiding.
Needless to say, Fly Toadstool managed to find them all fairly easily. Hee Hee!

There is a mini bear on the way and I will be working on a custom order this week amongst other things.

Some exciting news also, I have been invited to start selling on Wow Thank You! The online shop. I am giving this some thought and will make a decision tomorrow.

Mushrooms, bunnies and Lightsabers!

Strange title indeed!
Needless to say, these are the latest additions to Pixie Towers! ....I'll explain light sabers shortly hehe.

Firstly we have a new Toadstool man who has joined us.... Fly Shroomy... he's a fun kinda guy (geddit?!)

 And then we have Cherry Bunny, my second lil bag charm doll. She is just sooooo cute! I am so happy with how she turned out and can't wait to get started on some more! The cross stitch was difficult due to her size but I think it worked really well :)
 

 Ok.... so lightsabers! Whilst browsing Amazon a few weeks ago I discovered a light up crochet hook!!! I know right!!!  Well, long story short, my finger slipped and I accidentally purchased it.
I had totally forgot about it until it turned up this morning and wow did I squeak!
Is it wrong that I have wandered around the house doing a zzhhuuu zzzhhhuuuu noise (like a lightsaber) today in my excitement?! I think not!
Only the sneakyness of crocheting in bed will show its true potential, but I have high hopes for it becoming my favourite hook  :D

Hee hee!  Hello!

Well, it's been a busy couple of days over here. I'll start with the exciting news that I have been named one of the winners for February's Craftseller Magazine make of the month competition! Yay!!
My toadstool man had been entered into the comp and I and 2 other people were chosen as winners. I looked liked the Cheshire cat yesterday!! :-D

I have also managed to finish my latest creation who came about completely by accident. (I love those kind of creations!)I started to make another Lalylala doll, which I had initially intended to be a bear, however as I got further into the doll, I soon realized that the wool I was using was creating a perfect soldier camouflage pattern! And so Private Laly was created :-D *squeak!*

He has his own little helmet (complete with chin strap), black boots with laces and a black belt, along with dark brown hair under his helmet. 

Private Laly has now joined some of the other Laly's in the Pixie Crafts shop.

I have also been creating some crochet tulips. I thought they would make a lovely present for my mum on Mother's Day. They have turned out really well and I have decided to write out the pattern and instructions and will be posting it up in a few days time so that you can all have a go at making your own.... for free of course! :)

Glinda the good pixie witch :)

Hello all!
Just popping past to share my latest doll, Glinda with you all.
She's another pixie witch, made in preperation for Halloween.

I shall be making a special pixie over the next couple of days which will be winging her way off to a fundraising event for Macmillan. I shall post pics before she leaves though :)

Halloween is coming!

I'm struggling with the thought we're in September already! Where has this year gone!?!

Anyway, this means that I am now well in Halloween mode and dare I say, I'm even thinking about Xmas pixies! 

Another witchy pixie is underway. She will be dressed in this material...

So she's certainly going to stand out! 

Things have slowed down a bit here due to still feeling a bit under the weather and an impending move of house coming up along with work and the general day to day stuff that needs doing. It's a busy life being a pixie creator!

Meet Flint :)

I have finally finished my little boy pixie. He told me his name is Flint and he is very mischevious! :)
I'm really happy with how he has turned out.

Wings!

Lil Lorella was snapped up very quickly by a lovely lady. She requested a few additions to her, one of which was a set of wings. Something which I have just not managed to master! However, thank you to the lovely and talented Fairies Nest, who sent me a tutorial on how to make them, I succeeded!

Hello you wonderful pixie followers :)

New pixie has been started and I'm excited about this one as she is soooo colourful :) 

No name as yet but I'm sure she will reveal it in time. 

She has no head yet but that is coming I promise hee hee :) 

Ooh and a recommendation for you lovely people. I have purchased the most wonderful book today from the kindle store! 

This is Wanton Fairies, a fabulously naughty fairy book with the most amazing illustrations!

This is Cinnabar. She's a commission doll who will be a mascot for Cinnabar Craft Fairs :)

Next girly completed :)

My bright pink, wacky haired pixie girl is finally finished. She is not named as yet as the lovely lady who she is being sent to is having a good think about what to call her :)

Myself and my lovely husband have spent the rest of the day cutting and sewing various body parts just to stock up on bits to make things a bit easier. 

I'm back to the day job tomorrow finally after my long bout of illness which is good :) 

I have a few ideas in my head for the parts that have been made today so hopefully will have an update  in a few days times with some new pixies! :)

So I've managed to get on with a doll I'd started a while ago and she's now almost finished, although nameless at the moment. I'm making her for one of my lovely Twitter pixies. 

I luuurve her hair :-D wild and wacky!  

Got to finished her off and sit her upon a toadstool. Will post more when she's finished :)
